Ministry & Service
Called to serve

Believers are called to make disciples, and it is the mission of CCS to prepare students to serve God and impact their world for Christ.
We believe that process starts now!
Service projects and ministry give students the opportunity to use their God-given gifts and talents, and also provides students a chance to discover gifts and talents they didn't know they had.
Service Projects
Students in grades 6-12 attend monthly service projects during the school year. CCS offers a variety of service options for students to experience.
-
Good Knights in Elyria, where students assist in the process of making beds for children who don't have a bed to sleep in
-
Silver Friends at North Olmsted Friends Church, where students help prepare, serve, and clean up lunch; guests enjoy talking and sharing with our student helpers
-
The Renaissance in Olmsted Falls, where students serve meals and engage in prepared activities with the residents at the facility
Music Ministry
Fine arts is an important ministry at CCS. Our choir is divided into preschool, lower school, and upper school, each performing during our Christmas and Spring Concerts.
Our upper school choir also takes a bi-annual mission trip, Choir Tour, performing in schools, churches, and care facilities in a selected region. Last year, our choir traveled to Indiana for Choir Tour. Learn more about Choir Tour and our Fine Arts program.
Workathon
Workathon is a student-driven fundraiser that culminates in a day of service for our surrounding communities. Over a six-week period, students ask for sponsorships for a day of work. On the first Friday in May, all of grades K-12, teachers, and parent volunteers head out into communities across Lorain, Cuyahoga, and Medina counties for 5+ hours of service. They provide yard clean up, mulching, weeding, tree trimming, and any other yard work our student crews can handle! Work is provided for free to recipients unable to complete the tasks themselves.
Workathon is one of our students' favorite events during the school year. They are so blessed by the individuals they serve, and often ask to return to the same location year after year.
