VISUAL ARTS

Our Visual Arts program begins in kindergarten, focusing on foundational concepts like the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Color, opposites, and shapes are included. Various mediums are explored as students practice basic skills and improve fine motor function.
As students progress through Visual Arts, they explore more advanced concepts, such as shading, positive and negative space, and color theory. Projects reflect the continual building of skills across various mediums.
During their senior year, Visual Arts students are encouraged to create a display that showcases their projects. These displays are part of our annual Spring Art Show.
Student artwork is exhibited at the Art Show each May. Guests may visit and peruse artwork while enjoying music and refreshments. This event showcases the creative art pieces that have been carefully created over the course of the year- truly an impressive event!
